Minor Neurosurgical Procedures
Although these procedures are minor, like any invasive or surgical technique, they all carry some risk. Like any procedure the risks must be weighed against the benefits. If the risks are great and the probable benefits small, do not do the procedure.
Patients with severe pain are desperate for relief. People who are desperate will sometimes do things that would ordinarily be considered ill advised. If the chance of success is small, or the risk is great, the procedure is probably not a good idea. If the chance of relief is good and the probability of complications small, the procedure may be perfect for you.
